Rudy Gobert will be a main key of the Minnesota Timberwolves for more years to come.

Recently the team and their 7’1″Center agreed to a 3 year extension at a value of $110 Million Dollars. Gobert declined his player option of $46 Million to get a new multi year extension and more money.

The deal includes a player option in 27-28, and a trade kicker.

Gobert has been with the team since 2022 and was a big part in the teams rise last year making it to the western conference finals. Gobert last year averaged 13 points a game, 14 rebounds, and 2 assists in 76 games played, while also capturing the defensive player of the year award in the NBA.

With the departure of fellow big man Karl Anthony Towns, the Wolves will rely a lot more on Gobert’s rebounding ability and defense to help Anthony Edwards and company bring a championship home to the land of 10,000 Lakes.
