We are just a week before the whole state of North Dakota will be playing high school football, 9-man is off to their second round of the playoffs, and Class A is about to begin this weekend. But Class AAA and AA still have a couple games, that have some seeding and poll position rankings on the line. It’s slim picking so lets go with a Top 3 this week!
Here are my Top 3 games tonight in North Dakota. (10/25)
- #1 Grand Forks Red River @ #4 Devils Lake (AA)
- Red River has held the top spot in AA practically the whole season, they survived a close matchup with #2 Horace last week, but travel to #4 Devils Lake to finish off the season. Can Grand Forks avoid a last week loss before entering the first round of the playoffs? Can Devils Lake get an upset and perhaps climb up the ranking for better seeding?
2. #5 Mandan @ #4 Bismarck (AAA)
- #4 in the state will be on the line this week with Mandan traveling to Bismarck. Mandan is coming of a big win against Century last week and Bismarck is coming off a win where they coasted against Williston, what team can finish higher with the playoffs coming next week?
3. Dickinson @ St. Mary’s (AA)
- Both teams will be scoreboard watching the result of #5 Jamestown traveling to Watford City, with a Jamestown loss, 5 should open up and shake up the rankings on where some teams will land when the AA playoffs start next week.
