Kaye “Frisky” Hier grew up in McLaughlin, SD and has worked at radio stations in South Dakota, Wyoming and North Dakota. She previously worked at KSJB from 1984-1994 doing the mid-day shift.

When she is not on the air, Kaye loves to keep busy. Kaye is co-founder and President of Prairie Paws Animal Rescue-established in 2007, loves spending time with her pets (4 dogs and 11 cats) and her grand kids. She also enjoys concerts and has been to 62 Miranda Lambert shows. Miranda knows her on a first name basis and has personally made a donation to Prairie Paws Rescue thru MuttNation Foundation. Other interests include: the NHL Nashville Predators and she has a passion for anything that is the color PURPLE,  strong coffee, dark craft beer, wine, cooking and baking. The most important things in her life are her family and pets.

On a country artist related note:  Kaye also received a dozen yellow roses from Garth Brooks on her 40th Birthday.
